Ava is getting to the age where I constantly have to find things to keep her entertained. At least until Zoey gets old enough to play with her. Today we tried stickers on paper, "helping" wash dishes, coloring, played in her room for a while, and a 2 hour nap (woo hoo!!). While Zoey was taking her nap I decided to make some shortbread cookies and Ava wanted to help. So, we put her apron on her, gave her a few bowls, a wooden spoon and the SUGAR! She had a BLAST!! Yes there is sugar ALL over the table and floor but it kept her occupied for about an hour!

Pyrex!

I have recently become addicted to Vintage Pyrex! Here is some of my collection.

Cinderella bowl from the Friendship collection

The beautiful blue cinderella bowl is my newest piece! I love it!!!
I found it at an antique store for less than $20!

My husbands grandmother had these in her garage and didn't want them so I snatched them up in a heartbeat! We will be cleaning her garage out soon and I'll be on the look out for more Pyrex!
She also gave me a mixing bowl from the friendship collection, not pictured because I had just used it.

Love the friendship collection! I am not sure what the collection with the daisy/sunflower on it is called. I have another like it only orange. I have a few more that I didn't take pictures of because they were dirty. Yes I use them on a daily basis. I just display them on my shelf because I love to look at them!

The Cake

Mom's Birthday Cake that my Aunt made (I made the bunting)
Couldn't have done any of this without the help of my Aunt Jenn!! Thanks Jenn!

All Because Two People Fell in love

For my mom's birthday this year, I made her a scrapbook. I titled it "All Because Two People Fell In Love". I used (mostly) wedding pictures on both my mom and dad's side starting with my 3rd great grandparents. I did one from my mom's side and one from my dad's side until I got to my parents, then me and my sisters, and last is a picture of my two daughter's (my parents only grandchildren so far). My mom loves doing genealogy, so she really loved this!

My repurposed life

repurposedpast participle, past tense of re·pur·pose

Verb:
Adapt for use in a different purpose.
Becoming a wife and mother is something I always dreamed of doing. Now that I am one, it's a lot harder than I thought it would be!

After being good friends for about 2 years, I started dating and shortly after married the love of my life on November 7, 2009. In May 2010 we found out we were pregnant with Our beautiful daughter Ava Lynn Charlotte, born December 2010. She is now almost 2 years old. She is such a sweet little girl! She loves her family and all animals!! She loves to be outside doing anything! She also loves Yo Gabba Gabba! In September 2011 we became pregnant with our second beautiful daughter, Zoey Elowynn, born June 2012. She is now 2 months old. LIfe with two children is very different than life with just one! I am constantly needed by someone, but isn't that what being a mother is? Zoey needs to eat, Ava wants to read a book, Zoey needs her diaper changed, Ava wants a snack, time to start dinner, Zoey needs to eat again... this is constant! I wouldnt have it any other way though. This blog is about me, repurposing my life, adapting, going from being a single young lady to being a wife and mother to two in less than 3 years.

Now, a little about myself. I am 23 years old. I was homeschooled from 4th grade until I graduated. I hope to homeschool my daughters as well. After being a wife and mother, some of my favorite thing to do are, scrapbooking, repurposing furniture, painted and making wall hangings, making hair bows, decorating and rearranging my house, and cooking/ baking! I will be sharing all of this with you as you come along on my journey to repurposing my life.
